DQ250 MQB (0D9) Immobilizer Removal

This guide explains DQ250 MQB Immo Off for a replacement TCU, donor mechatronic or DSG swap. For a supported F40M to F55M or F96M binary, the immobilizer can be removed by applying the correct patch and writing it to the 0D9 transmission control unit with a bench flash tool.

When is DQ250 MQB Immo Off needed?

The immobilizer state matters when the DQ250 MQB TCU no longer matches the vehicle. The common cases are a replacement TCU, a donor mechatronic unit or a complete DSG transmission swap.

A DQ250 MQB TCU from another vehicle still contains its original immobilizer pairing. An Immo-Off patch removes that pairing requirement.

How DQ250 bench flash immobilizer removal works

The open-source DQ250 MQB Bench Flash tool was developed by the creator of simos.app and implemented using the DQ250 exploit path by bri3d. It communicates with the TC1766-based TCU on the bench, can dump and program PFlash, and provides access to ASW, CAL, EEPROM and internal DFlash workflows.
The bench tool reads and writes the TCU. It does not automatically create the Immo-Off patch. The patched BIN must match the exact FXXM software variant.
1. Identify the FXXM variant
Read first
Read the TCU identification and confirm the exact FXXM software family before selecting a BIN or patch.
2. Create a complete backup
Required
Dump the original TCU data before erasing or programming anything. Keep the untouched backup for recovery.
3. Apply the correct Immo-Off patch
Variant specific
Use an immobilizer patch made for the exact DQ250 FXXM binary. Do not move patches between software families.
4. Bench flash the patched BIN
Write
Write the patched firmware on the bench using stable power, the correct CAN wiring and a tested recovery setup.

DQ250 MQB Immo Off is supported only for F40M, F43M, F45M, F48M, F49M, F50M, F52M, F55M and F96M. F35M and F36M do not support the Immo-Off patch.

Use the exact software family
FXXM
The replacement BIN and Immo-Off patch must match the TCU software variant. Verify the ID before writing.
Keep a recovery backup
Backup
Save the original PFlash and available non-volatile data before applying the immobilizer patch.
Use stable bench power
Power
Use a stable supply and verified CAN wiring. Do not interrupt power while the TCU is being erased or programmed.
