DQ250

Flashing and immobilizer behaviour for DQ250 transmission control units, including the available torque-limit patches.

Immobilizer behaviour

Original TCU from the same vehicle

If the TCU belongs to the vehicle it is being installed in, no immobilizer patch is required. The existing immobilizer pairing remains valid.

Replacement TCU from another vehicle

If the donor TCU has been adapted to the vehicle with ODIS-E, it can use the normal supported flashing workflow.

If it has not been adapted with ODIS-E, the immobilizer patch must be flashed in boot mode. After the patch has been applied successfully, the TCU is fully unlocked from immobilizer matching.

Torque limits and patches

Stock — 400 Nm

The stock DQ250 torque limit is 400 Nm.

655 Nm patch

This patch changes the relevant variable data types so torque values up to 655 Nm can be represented.

Experimental 820 Nm patch

This experimental patch rescales the affected torque values from Q50 to Q40, extending the usable range to 820 Nm. Because the scaling changes, definitions and displayed values must match the Q40 format.

Before flashing

The 820 Nm patch is experimental. Verify the file, scaling and selected flashing method before use. For general preparation and safety checks, read Flashing Information.
