Which ECUs are supported?
simos.app supports simos 12.1, 18.1, 18.6 and 18.10 ECUs. These are found in VW, Audi, Skoda and Seat vehicles with 1.8L and 2.0L T(F)SI engines.
What OBD2 adapter do I need?
Any Bluetooth OBD2 adapter that supports the UDS protocol should work. We recommend adapters based on the ELM327 chipset with Bluetooth 4.0 (BLE) or higher.
How fast is the data logging?
Depending on the number of selected parameters, simos.app can log at up to 10 Hz (10 samples per second).
Where is my data stored?
All log data is stored locally on your iPhone. No data is sent to any server. You can export logs at any time.
Can I export my logs?
Yes. You can share and export log files directly from the app for further analysis on your computer.
The app can't connect to my car. What should I do?
Make sure your OBD2 adapter is plugged in and the ignition is on. Check that Bluetooth is enabled on your phone. If the issue persists, try restarting the app and the adapter.
